I live in rural Alabama about half hour drive into Birmingham. In this deep red state, political parties very much define people who belong to them. If you talk politics with them, you see their political party is their religion. I’m an Independent, who views politics parties as cults and has the same view of religions.

It’s extremely insulting to the 77 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump for The New York Times to publish an opinion piece that compares the president to Adolf Hitler.

In Jacques’ USA article today, 4/3/25, criticizing the New York Times for an essay likening Trump to Hitler, Jacques, conveniently?, doesn’t mention what Ivana Trump told Vanity Fair: that hubby Donald kept a book of Hitler’s speeches in a cabinet on his side of their bed and sometimes he read it at night.
Maybe if Jacques lived in a red state, or spent time talking to MAGAS, she would learn, if she is capable of learning, that the comparison to Hitler and his brownshirts is all too real. Where I live, rural Alabama, the Klan has risen again, the Confederacy is very much alive and well, although in public or in private MAGAS won’t admit it, but if you actually talk with them, if you actually listen to them, then it’s crystal clear what they are about, in the name of Jesus Christ.

So, I suggest every American read Trevor Ravenscroft’s book, The Spear of Destiny, which describes how Adolph Hitler became possessed by a powerful demon that enhanced Hitler and his top aides to help them mesmerize most of the German population, who became possessed by that demon.
The same is happening with Trump and his MAGAs, and a growing number of Republicans.
Alas, the same or a different demon has infected the Democrats and its recent leaders, Obama, Clinton, Biden, Harris, who paved the way for Trump to become president twice.
To be honest about itself, America should change its Pledge of Allegiance to “One nation, under Lucifer” and put “In mammon we trust” on its money.
