As I read one news report after another about President Trump claiming he ushered in America’s Golden Age with his tariff jihad, I wonder if MAGAS figured out yet that those tariffs translate to increasing the sales tax on what they buy that was made in foreign countries affected by Trump’s tariff jihad?
I wonder if MAGAs figured out yet that tariff revenues go into the United States treasury, as do federal income taxes, and that Trump and the Republicans in Congress are pushing legislation to lower income taxes on on rich Americans like Trump, and on American corporations, because tariff revenues will be used to pay for what the US Government does?
I wonder if MAGAs figured out yet that Trump’s claim that his tariff jihad will bring manufacturing back to America is bullshit, because it will take 5 years minimum, more likely 10 years for American companies manufacturing products outside of America to build new manufacturing plants in America and hire and train workers for those plants- if such workers can be found, because Americans, in the main, do not care to do that kind of work and/or don’t have the stamina to do that kind of work, and/or will not work for that low wage and benefits.
I wonder if the MAGAs have figured out that every Republican in the U.S. Congress knows what I wrote above, and only 4 of them, based on several news articles I read, are trying to do something about it.
Do I think the MAGAs will blame Trump for the cost of many things they buy going up in price, and their income taxes not going down enough to make an ant of difference to them, and Trump makes a few more billion$$$ the IRS doesn’t share in, despite their and his alleged Lord and Savior said in the Gospels:
